To all Verbians,
I've just returned from a journey through Italy, a country where history doesn't just reside in books. It rises from the streets, ruins, and inscriptions, telling a story centuries old. I am returning with more than words -- I have images to share as well. Rome reminded me that no empire lasts, but the words still endure. That no statue can come to life -- but ideas can. And in Florence, Milan, and Chianti, the lesson repeated: art may change, buildings may shift purposes, but the human urge to express ourselves -- to preserve our thoughts -- is eternal. Today, Ex Verbis returns, not as a travelogue, but as a continuation. I am not writing to admire ruins; rather, to remember what they were built for: permanence, meaning, and thought worth preserving. Now, let's write accordingly.
